# Features request

Ability to do the following

- able to lock both blue and pink guide line (drag by accident when selecting an object)
- ability to lock layer or objects (drag wrong object by accident due to overlapping)
- want to hold down the shift key and click on an end point of a line already in either vertical, horizontal or 45 degree and extend said line. Right now if I want to extend a 45 degree line, it is not possible. I have to redraw the line longer.
- extend the tick marks in the ruler, for example 25, 35, 45 to be longer if possible (would be nice - but not important )

You can now lock guides, via the View menu:

You can lock layers via the lock icon on the layers palette:

At the moment you can’t lock individual objects, only whole layers.

Shift to constrain to 45 degrees should now be working in more tools, including the pen tool.

The tick marks in the ruler on the 5s are now extended a bit. (This was hard to do, I had to draw the extension at what is hopefully the right pixel location, so let me know if you see any visual glitches there!)
